Beauden Barrett hasn't lost any fitness during New Zealand's lockdown period if day one of his training return is anything to go by.

The flyhalf, who is yet to play for the Blues this season after having an extended post-World Cup, demonstrated his quality with his first fitness test.

Barrett finished the 1.2km Bronco time trial in just over four minutes, lowering the club record and setting a new personal best as well.

The Blues posted the evidence on Twitter on Monday.

New Zealand's Super Rugby teams returned to training on Monday with three weeks until the Super Rugby Aotearoa competition kicks off.

Barrett's Blues will have an enthralling first round match up in that competition, facing his former team the Hurricanes in a Sunday afternoon clash.
