A double from Rebels backrower Angus Cottrell has helped the Barbarians to a 47-22 win over Brazil on Thursday morning (AEDT).

Cottrell scored two tries in the second half to help the international side run away with a victory in their second match of a three-match tour.

Fijian forward Campese Ma'afu was the first Barbarian to get over the line in the opening half, shortly followed by Argentina's Felipe Ezcurra and New Zealander David Havili.

Those scores gave the Barbarians a narrow 19-15 buffer at the break, with Brazil showing glimpses of their talent to stay close.

Havili nabbed a second in the final 40, a score that was converted by former Ireland captain and hooker Rory Best, before Cottrell matched his teammate's tally and Jano Vermaak scored one for the Baabaas as well.

Cottrell was one of five Aussies in the Barbarians team in Brazil, along with Pete Samu, Luke Jones, Billy Meakes and Joe Powell.

The Barbarians will travel back to the UK after this clash, ahead of a November 30 meeting with Wales in Cardiff.
