World Rugby guidelines suggest bans for biting start at 12 weeks, meaning Patu could miss the remainder of the Super W season.

?????Queensland will be without star forward Liz Patu for the remainder of their Super W campaign after the incumbent Wallaroos captain was found guilty of a biting charge at a hearing in Brisbane.

Patu was cited after Rugby WA lock Rebecca Clough approached referee Lara West following a ruck late in the match, saying she had been bitten.

She offered her arm as evidence of the bite mark but given West and her touch judges had not seen the incident, they were unable to act.

Replays on the big screen at Suncorp Stadium suggested Patu would have a case to answer though and she was quickly cited.
