Aussie Scott Wisemantel will join England as an attack consultant for their upcoming June Series.

Currently a backs coach with Montpellier, Wisemantel has been a part of the Waratahs, Wallabies and Australia U19 setups in the past.

Wisemantel dipped his toe back in Australian waters in 2016, coaching the Wallaby XV during the Spring Tour, against a French Barbarians side.

The 47-year-old will play a similar role to that of former Wallaby Glen Ella in 2016 and Sam Vesty in 2017.

Wisemantel has coached under Eddie Jones before, a part of his Japan staff in 2015 and the Wallabies skills coach between 2004 and 2007.

Jones said his long-time colleague was a valuable asset for England.

"He's a very good coach, he coached with me with the Wallabies and with Japan," he said.

"He has done Super Rugby with the Waratahs, coached successfully in Europe with Lyon and Montpellier, has a wealth of experience, great energy and I think he'll just add a little bit for this tour.

"I talk to him all of the time, we're constantly in dialogue - whenever he's available I want to use him."

England kicks off its June Series against South Africa on June 9 in Johannesburg, with Tests in Bloemfontein and Cape Town to follow.
