David Pocock is set to play his first rugby match in six months, named for Panasonic in the Top League.

Pocock has been on a rugby sabbatical since the end of the 2016-17 Top League season, with the star flanker set to return to the Brumbies in 2018 Super Rugby.

The openside will come off the bench for the Wild Knights, when they take on Canon this weekend.

Two of Pocock’s fellow capped Wallabies will be in Panasonic’s backline, with Berrick Barnes at flyhalf and Digby Ioane named at outside centre.

Capped Wallabies lock Daniel Heenan will line up in the second row.

Matt Giteau scored a first half double for Suntory as they cruised to a 31-15 win over Ricoh in his second Top League match.

George Smith lined up at no. 8, playing out the full 80 for the defending champions.

Adam Ashley-Cooper will come off the bench for Kobe Steel, while Anthony Faingaa will be at 13 for the Kintetsu Liners against the Toyota Verblitz.
