8:25pm - Full time - Force 7 - Toulon 5
Toulon will need results to go their way if they are to play finals football after scoring just one try in two losses on Day One.
Isi Naisarani set up a fantastic try for Chance Peni, handing the Force a 7-0 lead at half time. Josua Tuisova scored Toulon's first points of the tournament in their fourth half of football, charging down a Force kick and scooting down the right hand sideline to take the score to 7-5 but they were unable to trouble the scorers again.
7:58pm - Full time - Brumbies 7 - Bulls 5
A Robbie Abel try in the penultimate minute of the Brumbies' final pool match has all but guaranteed they will go through to the finals. After losing to the Highlanders and accounting for Toulon, the Brumbies needed to beat the Bulls to secure a finals berth and Isaac Thompson's conversion put them ahead when the final siren sounded.
7:33pm - Home town heat too much for Reds
The Reds have battled on Day One, failing to record a win.
7:27pm - Full time - Highlanders 13 - Hurricanes 5
The Highlanders have notched a win over there New Zealand rivals to retain a clean 2-0 record heading into Day Two. Matt Faddes opened up a 13-0 lead before Nehe Milner-Skudder scored a consolation try for the Canes.
7:25pm - Crusaders in cruise control
Here's what coach Scott Robertson had to say after the Crusaders recorded two wins on Day One.
7:17pm - Half time - Highlanders 5 - Hurricanes 0
Dillon Hunt made sure the Highlanders were the first to trouble the scorers, diving over in the left hand corner in the opening minutes. Gareth Evans was robbed of a magical try assist with four minutes to play in the first, with the TMO telling referee Damon Murphy the Dunedin side had too many players on the field after the try had been awarded.
7:15pm - "Tens gives the front rowers hope"
Crusaders coach Scott Robertson had an interesting take on the future of the Tens: "It gives front rowers hope, because they watch all those Sevens tournaments and now they can be a part of it, even though they probably can only last about a minute and a half, I reckon that's probably about their peak.”
7:00pm - Full time - Samoa 27 - Blues 14
Samoa have notched a well deserved win, with a second half surge earning them a 27-14 win over the Blues. The Samoans were vain in defeat up against the Crusaders this morning and were even better this evening, scoring 27 unanswered points in the second half.
6:57pm - Chiefs looking for heat relief
6:22pm - Full time - Crusaders 28 - Reds 0
The Reds will go into Day Two without a win after they fell well short of the standard required in a heavy loss to the Crusaders.
Seta Tamanivalu added to the home team's woes when he scored for the visitors before an Alex Mafi kick was charged down by Poasa Waqanibau, who recovered the loose ball to open up a final score of 28-0.
6:10pm - Half time - Crusaders 14 - Reds 0
Digby Ioane showed Reds fans what they have been missing since his departure four years ago as he carved the defensive line up the middle and ran 40 metres to score with his first touch of the ball. Sean Wainui extended the lead for the Crusaders after space opened up on the left hand side of the field and he split a pair of defenders to add five more.
6:03pm - Drew Mitchell adamant Toulon will bounce back
Despite not playing in their first match, Drew Mitchell is adamant Toulon will show their true colours in their second match against the Force tonight.
"This was our first run for the tournament so obviously we've got to iron out a few things but you can't give turnovers and that kind of thing away and make poor decisions like we did against a team like the Brumbies and think we're going to get away with it," he said.
"Obviously (we're) not accustomed to the slippery ball once the sweat gets on it but the biggest thing with how we want to deal with it is what's happening now with our recovery.
“We've got another game in a few hours so hopefully come out and unleash a little bit."
5:50pm - The Waratahs have failed to fire a shot on Day One
5:47pm - Morgan Turinui is happy to be back
5:30pm - Full time - Brumbies 10 - Toulon 0
Toulon have failed to trouble the scorers in an average performance against the Brumbies. The men from Australia's capital took advantage of Toulon's poor ball handling, Blake Enever and James Dargaville crossing through some expansive play.
5:10pm - Rebels win opener, blow lead against Panasonic on Day One
5:00pm - Deans not surprised by Panasonic success
4:55pm - Full time - Chiefs 26 - Waratahs 14
The Waratahs will need results to go their way if they are to progress past the pool stage after the Chiefs handed them their second loss from as many games.
Harry Jones replicated Curtis Rona's chip and chase try with a dashing move down the left hand wing, putting the Waratahs back in front to start the second half. But the Chiefs hit back after sustained pressure inside the Rebels 22 as Samisoni Tauke'iaho fought off three Rebels defenders to open up a 19-14 lead with five minutes to play. The sealer came when Liam Messam crossed for the Chiefs, taking their tournament record to 1-1.
4:47pm - Rebels hopeful Placid will play a part on Day Two
The Rebels are hopeful that young back Jonah Placid will still play a part on Day Two, despite a kick to the back against the Wild Knights.
Acting head coach Craig McGrath said the injury wasn’t too serious and scans would determine whether he would be back in action this weekend.
4:45pm - Half time - Chiefs 12 - Waratahs 7
The Chiefs were the first to cross as Wayne Sweeney shed some poor NSW defensive work to touch down. Hugh Roach crashed his way over for the Waratahs a few minutes later, taking the score to 7-all with three minutes to play in the first term. A perfect cross-field kick gave the Chiefs their second try, Lachlan Boshier scoring as the siren sounded for half time.
4:35pm - Full time - Hurricanes 19 - Force 12
A Cory Jane intercept has completed a spectacular Hurricanes comeback to snatch victory from the Western Force. The Wellington side scored three second half tries to turn a 12-0 deficit into a 19-12 win. Curtis Rona put together a piece of individual brilliance to extend the Force lead, diving over for just rewards after a fantastic chip and chase. The Hurricanes hit right back with a superb team try, Matt Proctor the beneficiary of the final pass to bring the score back to 12-7 with five to play. The Canes would not be held, though, as Joseph Apikotoa crashed over following a scrum penalty to level the scores.

4:20pm - Half time - Force 5 - Hurricanes 0
The Hurricanes, in their first match of the tournament, were dominant early but could not convert pressure into points, as the Force marched downfield and crossed through Kane Koteka. The Hurricanes continued to attack and looked to have crossed but Michael Ruru made a spectacular try saving tackle to hold the ball up over the line.
4:00pm - Full time - Wild Knights 17 - Rebels 12
Panasonic have all but secured a finals berth after pulling off a second straight upset to defeat the Melbourne Rebels. Tries to Yoshikazu Fujita and Brisbane boy Jack Cornelson put the Japanese side out to a 17-5 lead but the Rebels hit back through Ben Meehan. The Rebels had their chance to tie things up with one minute to play but the Wild Knights held firm and won a defensive penalty, much to the delight of the Brisbane crowd.
3:45pm - Half time - Rebels 5 - Wild Knights 10
The Rebels open the scoring with Jonah Placid just sneaking a try in the corner. Placid was a late inclusion in the Rebels squad and he's made an impact early. Ryu Koliniasi Holani replied for the Wild Knights, dragging a trio of Rebels players with him. Nic Stirzaker went close for the Rebels but was chased down by speedster Akihito Yamada. Yoshikatsu Fujita scores a ripper, streaking into open space to pounce on a clever kick, just on half-time and the Wild Knights take the half-time lead.

2:55pm - Full time - Samoa 7 - Crusaders 12
A late consolation try put Samoa in contention for an upset but they couldn't hang on to the pill long enough in the back end of the game. The Crusaders take the win with two tries to one and we're in for a bit of a break now.

2:39pm - Benny A and Kyle Godwin give their takes on opening loss
Ben Alexander is one of the Brumbies veterans at this tournament and said their opposition's kicking put them in front.
"The Highlanders were sharp at the start there, I thought they kicked really well and I think the team you will see that wins it will be the team that kicks the best," he said.
"There's a lot of space so maybe passing it doesn't get you that space, that is where you need to use the foot.
"I don't think it will be a scrum-a-thon today so the side that works hardest on D and is the most clinical attack will win."
Kyle Godwin said the Highlanders were simply too good.
"They showed us how to play Tens there - they capitalised on our errors and really made us pay," he said.
"They've got some powerhouse players there (Toulon) so looking forward to that challenge and hopefully we can get one up on them in the next game.
"It's an unbelievable experience - it has been my first experience in the Tens so far and I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far."

There was a bit of talk that the turnouts would be pretty low in this heat but the stands are relatively full...in the shade.

2:23pm - Full-time - Brumbies 7 - Highlanders 14
The Highlanders have ended the run of 'home' teams at the Brisbane Tens, going down to the Highlanders in their first hit-out. Nigel Ah Wong with the only try of the game and th Australian teams have just one win between them so far. Samoa vs Crusaders up next.

2:12pm - Force and Bulls react to opening clash
Luke Morahan was one of the standouts for the Force in their opening Tens clash and the outside back enjoyed his first outing.
"Yeah it was interesting, I really enjoyed it - it's a good combination between Sevens and 15s - fitness definitely comes into it but the physicality of 15s is there so it's good," he said.
The Force had a dominant 27-5 win over the Rebels in their first Super Rugby trial but Morahan wasn't getting ahead of himself.
"It's a good start to the season - trials don't mean too much - we beat the Hurricanes last season and only ended up winning two games so it's good to get the combinations going, that first hit out, that contact and a bit of fitness testing."
Waratah-turned-Bull Jacques Potgieter said the tournament was good for the team as a bonding opportunity.
"I don't know if it's good for prep but it's good for team building for the boys - for us it's about building a relationship with the boys, building the team environment up,"- Jacques Potgieter
"We're taking this as a build up stage, to have fun, throw the ball around, it's an awesome venue and we are looking forward to the Tens in the years coming
"The Tens are about having fun out there and playing the rugby the fans want to see."
2:03pm - Half-time - Brumbies 0 - Highlanders 14
No sign of Stephen Larkham on the field for the Brumbies in this one, but they might need to call him up next time, with the Canberra side in a 14-point hole against the Highlanders. A strong start from Henry Speight was undone by an early Highlanders try.
Teams are in for the Crusaders vs Samoa game and there's NO Digby Ioane in the Canterbury lineup.

1:54pm - Full-time - Bulls 14 - Force 10
The Bulls have rolled the reigning Mauritius Tens winners, taking out their first match at the Brisbane Tens. The Force had the early edge but once the Bulls got in front that's the way it pretty much stayed.

1:43pm - Reds and Blues react to opening draw
Samu Kerevi played his first game on return from injury as the Reds played out a draw against the Blues.
"The ankle feels awesome, had a little bit of a niggle in my knee but it's all good now - just happy to get out there with the boys, have a dig," he said.
"It's just good to be out there playing rugby.
"I think our skills have picked up a lot - that's something we have been working on with Mick Byrne and Shane (Arnold) - really happy to see that."
The Blues' Rene Ranger came back from a shoulder injury as well and said they wanted improvement after the stalemate.
"I think we started okay and faded a bit out of it there - the Brisbane heat definitely hits you and the draw is not what we wanted but we will take that and go into the next game," he said.
"We've got to put that behind us now and make sure we are working for the fella inside and outside you.
"The next game we've got Samoa who have a few big boys so I think if we try run them around a bit we will get our chances on the outside."
1:31pm - The World champions in action! Bulls 7 - Force - 10
The Force have taken the field for the first time at the Brisbane Tens, but they're by no means the Tens rookies - they took out the Mauritius Tens last year and have put up a strong squad again. Alex Newsome sets up the first try to Ross Haylett-Petty but the Bulls hit back and lead 7-5. Chance Peni hits back for the Force and they take a 10-7 lead.
1:21pm - Full-time - Reds 17 - Blues 17 - OUR FIRST DRAW!
Karmichael Hunt has found his way into the game, with a silky over the shoulder pass keeping the footy alive, before going over for his own try. The Blues have answered and we're all square here and that's the way it's stayed, for the first draw in Brisbane Tens history.
Blues prop Tom Robinson came off with an injury midway through the second half, but it's unclear how bad it is.
In other news, insights on here might just be a little bit clearer from now on after the removal of some frosted tape covering the media box window. Can see the whole field now. Great result.
1:06pm - Barnes coping under the Brisbane heat
Berrick Barnes steered Panasonic to their first Tens win and was chuffed with his teammates' work after the game.
"We took a pretty young squad over here, a lot of guys playing their first game so I'm really proud and really proud to be representing Panasonic - the win just tops it off," he said.
"We've received great support, the Japanese teams, so hopefully we can be their second team this weekend.
"It was -2C when we left the other night but our summers up there as hot as this so mentally that puts us in good stead, but physically I'm buggered."
1:03pm - Half-time Reds 12 - Blues 12
Rene Ranger had the first try, for the Blues, in his comeback from a shoulder injury. Queensland young gun James Tuttle answered in the fifth minute before Ranger set up another Blues five-pointer, for Billy Guton, and they convert.
But Samu Kerevi took an opportunity to score the try of the tournament so far off a lineout overthrow. Kerevi beat his blues opponent to the ball and streaked away from everyone. A little bit of showboating over the line made plenty of people nervous but he put it down safely and they're right in this.
12:55pm - Full-time - Panasonic 15 - Waratahs 5
Barnes led the way for the Wild Knights against his former team, as they clinched the second upset of the day. We'll have some reaction from him coming up . Reds vs Blues up next.
12:52pm - Rebels vs Chiefs reactions
They were the first teams to face off in Brisbane and Reece Hodge was a happy man after the Rebels win over the Chiefs.
"Yeah, it's awesome - the boys played great and I thought we defended really well and that is what set up the win in the end," Hodge said.
"You have to start the tournament in a good way if you want to do well in it.
"It's pretty warm but once you get out there you get used to it."
Liam Messam said his team was finding its feet in the first Tens opening.
"It was interesting - that's the first actual game we've played so it was good to get out there," he said.
"We will take a lot from that so going into the next game hopefully we will be a lot better.
"It is hot, especially when you try to stay out there for the whole game so the volume of subs is going to play a role in this tournament."
12:51pm - Everyone's getting involved.
James O'Connor is in Brisbane with Toulon but he's watching on as they wait for their first game of the tournament and he gave old teammate Berrick Barnes a big wrap after that penalty goal.

12:45pm - Berrick's still got it! Wild Knights 15 - Waratahs 5
A slick Berrick Barnes gave Kentaro Kodama a free run down the left edge to put the Wild Knights in front with six minutes left. NSW scrumhalf Jake Gordon gave a good chase but couldn't keep up with the Japanese speedster. Another Tens milestone - Barnes has the first Brisbane Tens penalty goal! Good to know he hasn't changed much since leaving Australia.
12:38pm - Half-time - Wild Knights 5 - Waratahs 5
The Wild Knights opened up the scoring through Brisbane boy Ben Guntor, before Matt Lucas slipped through the Panasonic defence to even things up. A superb cross-field kick from Wild Knights Yuta Takagi nearly gave his side the lead, but Israel Folau stopped the near-certain try.
12:26pm - Full-time - Rebels 19 - Chiefs 5
The Rebels have taken the first win of the Brisbane Tens, with second half tries from Jordan Uelese and Reece Hodge securing the margin for the Melbourne side. Next up it's the Wild Knights vs the Waratahs.
12:17pm - Saturday Tens catch-up
There's been a few good stories in the lead up to the week, with a few ex-Reds and Wallabies coming back home for the week.
Panasonic's Berrick Barnes is back in Brisbane and spoke to RUGBY.com.au about how things have been going in Japan.
Digby Ioane is in town as a Crusader for the first time and Israel Dagg and Scott Robertson were singing his praises on Friday.
ICYMI: Chris Latham has been ruled out of the tournament after pulling his hamstring. Word is he is absolutely shattered at missing out - has been training hard for this comeback, while Lachlan Maranta has reduced the number of former Brisbane Broncos running out to just four, with his withdrawal.
12:08pm - Half-time Rebels 5 - Chiefs 5
We're one try apiece here at Suncorp. Liam Messam took advantage of a major overlap to notch the first try for the Chiefs and then Tom English returned the favour for the Rebels shortly after.
I can confirm it is ridiculously hot out here today - the official temperature is 38 degrees, with 32 per cent humidity. Fans are finding some unique ways of keeping cool, ahead of an eight-hour rugby day.
12:00pm - Rebels vs Chiefs
The first game has kicked off at Suncorp and it's the Rebels taking on the Chiefs. Interesting selection with Ben Meehan taking up the playmaker spot for Melbourne, with Jackson Garden-Bachop coming off the bench. We're 0-0 early.
