Australian lock Hugh Pyle has extended his contract with Stade Francais by two seasons until June 2020, the Top 14 club announced Wednesday.

Pyle, 28, has become a fixture of the Stade pack since his arrival from Melbourne Rebels in 2014.

Stade, who will be managed from next season by ex-All Black Greg Cooper, will not only see the back of current coach Gonzalo Quesada but also a raft of senior players like Rabah Slimani, Raphael Lakafia, Hugo Bonneval and Geoffrey Doumayrou.

in other Aussie moves, utility back Zack Holmes will move from La Rochelle to rival French Top-14 outfit Toulouse at the start of the 2017-2018 season, his new club said on Wednesday.

"We've been after him for some time because we have been looking for an all-rounder and his kicking has made him a key member of his current club," said his future sports director Fabien Pelous.

"At 26, Zack also has the double advantage of youth and experience."

The former Western Province and sevens international player operates at ease at fly-half, in the centre or as a fullback.
