Australia’s Olympic campaign has finished with a 12-10 defeat to France, handing them in eighth place.
They couldn’t get revenge on France, who comprehensively beat Australia in their Pool B opener two days ago.

Jenkins dusting himself as Australia turned over the ball and showed a clean set of heels to narrow the margin to two points.
Stannard couldn’t convert though, leaving France to close out the game and clinch seventh spot.
