NSW Waratahs veterans Matt Carraro and Jeremy Tilse will both be moving on from Moore Park next season.
While neither has decided on their next move, the pair will definitely not be at the Waratahs for the 2017 season.
Carraro and Tilse join Kurtley Beale (Wasps), Dave Dennis (Exeter), Wycliff Palu (Japan) and Benn Robinsion (retirement) as players who will be leaving the Waratahs this season.
The pair both celebrated their 50th Waratahs caps this season, Tilse against the Brumbies and Carraro against the Hurricanes a fortnight ago.
Waratahs coach Daryl Gibson praised Carraro and Tilse for their contributions to the club, on and off the field.
“Matt and Jeremy have been outstanding role models for our young players,” he said.
“They are true ambassadors for the game and their leadership and commitment to NSW is to be commended.”
“Whilst it is a sad time, we celebrate their achievements and value everything they have given to the team.
Gibson said the raft of experience leaving, with hooker Tatafu Polota-Nau another still weighing up his future, would give the next generation an opportunity to step up.
“This is a great opportunity for the Waratahs’ next generation to begin a new era and build on the legacy that so many of our players have contributed to.
“It’s also a chance for our young leadership group to stamp their mark and provide a new energy as part of the talented and determined group of young players that we have into 2017 and beyond.”
