The Wallaroos have rediscovered their winning form in the 7th v 8th playoff match, defeating Wales 30-3 in a brilliant display of attacking Rugby in Paris on Monday 18 August.
Head Coach Paul Verrell was very happy with the well-executed game plan of the Wallaroos.
“Everything really clicked for us in this match. Our forwards got us over the advantage line with some great work at the breakdown and our backs were able to open up spaces.”

The Wallaroos started the match well as they controlled possession and the flow of the match.
Wales’ strength was always going to be their solid scrum from which the women in red would lay a platform for their backs.
The sound defence of the Wallaroos, although tested, never cracked and they once again prevented Wales from scoring a try.
A try to Liz Patu and a penalty conversion to Australian fullback Ashleigh Hewson gave Australia a ten point advantage before Wales struck back with a penalty goal.
With the scores at 10-3 in favour of Australia at half time, the Wallaroos knew a strong finish would be required to account for Wales.
Tries to Sharni Williams, Cobie-Jane Morgan, Dalena Dennison and Tricia Brown ensured a dominant Australia victory as the Wallaroos romped home 30-3 to ultimately finish the tournament in seventh.
Australia finishes the tournament with three wins from five matches.
