Fans of the Qantas Australian Men's and Women's sides will be able to watch their matches from the 2014 Oceania Sevens Championship live from Noosa.
The tournament kicks off tomorrow morning from 8am and runs through to Saturday evening.
The Men's side will be led by Michael O'Connor, with current Head Coach Geraint John using the time away from the bench to assess his own squad from afar while also scouting opposition teams.
O'Connor said: “We are running a team with a core of experience but at the same time have several fringe players we want to have a look at ahead of the World Series, to see if they are ready to step up. Plus it is an opportuntiy to bring back some boys who have had injuries such as Allan Fa’alava’au.”
“The standard of teams here this weekend is very high. I have been coming to the Oceania Sevens for many years but there is an added dimension this year with it leading into this year’s Sevens World Series on the Gold Coast.”
“New Zealand is here for example which is a first. That said we need tough games as we prepare for the start of the season and we will certainly have that with Tonga and Samoa in our pool on the first day.”
Australia has been drawn in Pool C alongside Tonga, New Caledonia and Samoa.
The Qantas Australian Women's side have an early start tomorrow (Friday), with Tonga first up. The Women's tournament takes on a round-robin format, with the top two sides qualifying for the Cup Final on Saturday afternoon.
