Players from the Qantas Australian Women's Sevens program visited the Sydney Children's Hospital in Randwick on Thursday to bring some needed festive cheer to sick children.
Through the Australian Rugby Union's partnership with Redkite - an Australian cancer charity that supports children and young people with cancer (0-24 years) and their families - eight players chatted with the patients, signed autographs and gave away team memoribilia to children in the hospital's West Ward.
Ellia Green, Tiana Penitani, Rachel Crothers, Amy Turner, Charlotte Caslick, Emilee Cherry, Tanisha Stanton and Alicia Quirk all took part in the visit.
Meanwhile, Women's Sevens captain Sharni Williams and Shannon Parry attended an end-of-year gathering in celebration of the Australian Rugby Foundation at Admiralty House in Kirribilli.
Guests included Governor-General Sir Peter Cosgrove and ARU CEO Bill Pulver.
