Jemma Bemrose is a promising young lock who has come through the Queensland pathways system.
Her journey into rugby was unconventional. Initially a touch football player, Bemrose discovered her passion for rugby during high school after being inspired by the rugby sevens competition at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, held on the Gold Coast.
The transition was natural for her, as she had always played touch football with a more physical edge.
Since then, Bemrose has gone from strength to strength, playing for the Palm Beach Currumbin Alligators before joining Bond University, where she was part of a premiership-winning team.
Her dedication, skill, and leadership qualities have now earned her a place at the helm of the Reds, where she was named captain in 2025.
