The Wallabies are set for a busy lead-in to the 2027 Rugby World Cup, confirming their schedule for both the Bledisloe Cup and the Rugby Championship ahead of the one-in-a-generation home event.
The men in gold will kick off their 2027 international season with an inaugural ANZAC Day Bledisloe Cup clash at Suncorp Stadium against the All Blacks in what is set to be a significant event in the history of both the two sides, and as a new marquee event in the global rugby calendar.

Following the conclusion of the Super Rugby Pacific season, the Wallabies will kick off their Flight Centre Rugby Championship campaign, with two clashes against Argentina on Australian soil.
The two fixtures, set to take place at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, July 10th and Queensland Country Bank Stadium on Saturday, July 17th, are likely to be in high demand following 2025’s two-match series set attendance records, and with the Wallabies winning a tour on Argentine soil for the first time earlier this year, will be hotly contested.
The Wallabies will then play two matches against the All Blacks, with the home test set for Saturday, July 31st (venue to be confirmed), before facing the world champions South Africa twice, with venues and dates to be confirmed.
The series against the Springboks will be especially significant, with the final clash of the two-match series marking the 100th test between the two sides in a rivalry that dates back to 1933.
The Wallabies will then conclude their preparations for the Rugby World Cup with a clash against Ireland at GIO Stadium in Canberra on Saturday, September 18, the match marking 100 years since Australia’s first clash against the Irish.
This fixture will also mark the first time international rugby has returned to the nation’s capital in a decade, with the Wallabies never having been defeated in Canberra in five previous Test matches.
The Rugby World Cup will then commence in October, with Australia kicking off their campaign with the opening match of the tournament against Hong Kong China at Optus Stadium on Friday, October 1.
This will be followed by Pool A matches against New Zealand at Accor Stadium on Saturday, October 9th and Chile at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday, October 16th.
The knock-outs will commence on Saturday, October 23rd, with the final taking place at Accor Stadium on Saturday, November 13th.
“From the inaugural Anzac Day Bledisloe Cup Test match to the Rugby World Cup final, Australian supporters in 2027 will be centre stage for the greatest celebration of the international game in its 155-year history,” Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh said following the announcement.
“The Wallabies’ program for 2027 is befitting such a momentous year with an epic line-up of Test matches against the biggest teams on the game’s grandest stages.
“Our players and coaches are deeply grateful to have connected with our great Australian Rugby community in record-breaking numbers at home Test matches in recent years and all are committed to representing our nation with passion and pride, commitment and courage in 2027.
“The last Rugby World Cup in Australia in 2003 inspired the entire nation as the Wallabies fought to the final second of the tournament.
“Much has transpired in the years since, but the honour of representing Australia burns as brightly as ever. We can’t wait to see our supporters at stadiums across Australia in 2027 and put in performances they can be proud of.”
The news of the Argentina test matches was well received by both Sydney and Queensland, with the Wallabies set to be front and centre in Australian sport next year.

“These matches will draw visitors, support jobs and showcase Queensland to a national and international audience as we build towards the Rugby World Cup in 2027.”
