RECAP: England have rebounded with a 45-22 win over the Wallabies at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham.

It was a classy performance from the hosts as they controlled the proceedings at home, taking an early lead.

A Max Jorgensen intercept right before half time gave the Wallabies life, reducing their lead to 19-10.

But England kicked into another gear in the second half, powering away with two quick Henry Pollock tries.

The power of the English proved too much as they weathered late tries to Filipo Daugunu and Jeremy Williams to respond with their own strikes.

76': England hit back

England 45-22: Ben Spencer seals the win for England with an intercept try.

The Aussies are looking for another try as they fling it around their 22, with Filipo Daugunu's offload nabbed by the replacement for the try.

73: Williams nabs sneak try

England 38-22: Jeremy Williams nabs a sneak try off the back of a mistake from England.

Maro Itoje misfumbles the lineout five metres out and Williams pounces for the easiest of tries.

72': Jorgensen bundled into touch

England 38-15: Promising play from the Aussies as they break clear down the short side.

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii is put into half a space and finds Max Jorgensen, who just runs out of space.

68': Aussie mistake nearly made to pay

England 38-15: The Aussies are chasing the game and it almost costs them five after a pass in-behind goes into touch 15 metres out.

Ben Donaldson makes amends for his mistake with some great cover work shortly afterwards, with England dropping the ball a minute later to allow Australia out of trouble.

65': England out for killer blow

England 38-15: England are camped inside Australia's half, looking to end Australia's brief comeback.

The English are drawing penalties against the visitors as they apply pressure on their line.

Great defence from Max Jorgensen and Len Ikitau hold up England and force the maul.

61': Daugunu over for Wallabies

England 38-15: Another spark from Filipo Daugunu as the replacement dives over in the corner.

The Wallabies capitalise on the chaos and Tom Wright throws the cutout to Daugunu, who beats his man and scores.

Carlo Tizzano and Isaac Kailea on for Fraser McReight and Angus Bell

59': Daugunu, Donaldson try to spark Wallabies

England 38-10: Filipo Daugunu makes an immediate impact as he breaks the line clear.

The Wallabies try to go quick through Ben Donaldson, with the halves unable to combine to get over the line.

Daugunu on for Isaac Henry, Josh Nasser also on for Billy Pollard.

57': Pollock makes it two

England 38-10: Henry Pollock makes it two in three minutes as the English continue to score at will.

Excellent hands from the backline puts Pollock into space, who has enough pace to run clear and bring the ball under the posts.

55': England extend lead

England 31-10: Henry Pollock extends the advantage for England as the fill-in winger crosses.

Fin Smith throws the long ball under penalty advantage and Tom Wright just can't bring it in, falling at the feet of the young gun to cross.

53': England in control

England 26-10: England are in control as they hunt for more points.

Australia try and counter from their own half, but a scuffed kick goes out on the full just outside the 22.

Ben Donaldson comes onto the field for Declan Meredith as Taniela Tupou receives treatment for an ankle knock.

49': Ikitau's smart 50-22 gets Wallabies going

England 26-10: Something out of nothing for the Aussies as Len Ikitau nails the 50-22.

The play breaks down after a ball goes out the back and Ikitau puts a perfect kick in.

It comes to nothing as England steal the lineout and kick clear but a break from Isaac Henry has Australia firing inside the 22, only to give away the penalty for off feet.

45': Canham saves Aussies

England 26-10: Another English break as van Poortvliet breaks clear all too easily.

Great work from Josh Canham forces the turnover 15 metres out as Les Kiss calls for his bench.

Rob Valetini and Taniela Tupou come onto the field for Lukhan Salakaia-Loto and Allan Alaalatoa.

42': England strike to start the half

England 26-10: England start the second half like they did the first as Jack van Poortvliet finishes off the try.

The English find space through unlikely winger Henry Pollock, on for Immanuel Feyi-Waboso, catching the Aussies short for numbers.

The visitors then spread it to the other wing for George Furbank, and he finds his half backing up for the well-worked try, leaving Les Kiss furious.

HALF TIME: ENGLAND 19 - 10 WALLABIES
40': Jorgensen sparks Wallabies with intercept try

England 19-10: Max Jorgensen has produced something out of nothing to get Australia back in this game.

Jorgensen latches onto an intercept and sprints 60 metres, beating the cover defence to cross for a crucial try.

Massive moment for the visitors.

39': Meredith cleans up for Aussies

England 19-3: Declan Meredith just does enough to stop Tommy Freeman from scoring a great try.

Freeman wins the race to a grubber from Fin Smith but the pressure from the flyhalf forces the error as he tries to plant it down.

36': Wallabies can't capitalise

England 19-3: A rare 22 entry for the Wallabies goes begging as they drop the quick lineout.

England instantly go on the counter attack and suddenly are back deep inside Australia's half after a penalty against the Aussies.

33': England instantly capitalise

England 19-3: England make good use of the numbers as Joe Hayes crashes over.

The Aussies hold out the maul briefly, but the tighthead slips through the edge and gets the ball down.

32': Bell off for 10

England 12-3: Angus Bell finds himself a victim of the new hip drop rule as he goes to the bin for 10.

Bell tries to bring Immanuel Feyi-Waboso but falls straight down at the ankle of the winger and is issued a yellow card.

30': England looking dangerous

England 12-3: Another break for the English as they keep finding space in the Australian defence.

The Wallabies rally and get the penalty for a neck roll, with Len Ikitau doing enough to win the penalty.

26': Chessum in the corner

England 12-3: England make good use of their chances this time as Ollie Chessum crosses in the corner.

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso is causing all types of chaos as the winger splits the defence again, leaving the Aussies short of numbers.

They spread to the wing and the flanker is there to finish off nicely for the try.

22': Lineout woes for both teams

England 5-3: Both teams are struggling to hit their man at lineout time as they trade not straight calls.

Australia looks just ahead scrum wise, winning a penalty but they can't make it count as they miss the throw.

England are continuing to make metres and inroads inside Australia's half, coughing it up yet again close to the line.

19': Suaalii in command aerially

England 5-3: The plan is clear for the Wallabies: Kick early and often for Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and it's working.

Suaalii wins two big bombs back in quick succession to get Australia into the English half.

England rally for the turnover penalty but positive signs after last year's struggles.

17': Wallabies standing tall

England 5-3: All England in this first quarter, but the Aussies are withstanding the storm for now.

An interesting scrum penalty against the visitors as England kick inside the 22, but drop the ball again.

It's been one of several mistakes by the English inside Aussie territory.

13': Australia under pressure

England 5-3: A costly mistake from the Aussies as they cough up the ball inside their 22.

Maro Itoje comes up with the charge down as Ryan Lonergan tries to clear his line, with the pressure forcing the knock on from Fraser McReight.

It won't cost them, though; England pinged at the resulting scrum for a free kick.

10': Lonergan gets Australia on the board

England 5-3: A settling three points for the Wallabies as Ryan Lonergan nails the penalty.

Lonergan brushes off a heavy collision to slot the goal after England are caught offside at lineout time.

It comes with England having all the momentum, weathering the storm.

8': England won't be denied

England 5-0: Jamie George won't be denied this time as the hosts get on the board first.

Fin Smith nails the resulting kick for the line and England go to work at maul time to power over.

The initial counter is solid from the visitors, but England do well to splinter away and leave them down numbers.

5': McReight, Williams in action early

The English are playing fast early but the Wallabies are holding on nicely.

The hosts are creating quick ball for their forwards, with the Aussies rallying to force the error at ruck time from the English for going off their feet as they reach their 22.

Fraser McReight and Jeremy Williams there to force the infringement, but England go back on the attack after an obstruction under the high ball.

2': England denied early try

Immanuel Feyi-Waboso gets the hosts off to a flyer as the winger slices through the Wallabies defence, but it's coming back

A fast start from England is struck off the board for a clear-as-day forward pass in the build-up, right in front of the assistant referee.

A reprieve for the Wallabies, with England making quick inroads inside the Australian half, before the winger bursts through a hole for the disallowed try.
