Wrighty could be running down the aisle of an Action bus against a defender and still get past him untouched. With more moves than you’ll see in Braddon on a Saturday night, every step, sidestep, and shimmy is designed to evade defenders and turn the smallest gap into a scoring opportunity.

Originally from Sydney, Wright played his junior rugby with the Clovelly Eagles and attended St Joseph's College in Hunters Hill. A dual-code talent, he earned a contract with the Manly Sea Eagles, making his NRL debut in 2018 before the Brumbies quickly snapped him up. Wright was immediately thrust into the starting XV in 2019, debuting against the Chiefs and impressing with pace, agility, and vision.

In 2020, the Wallabies handed him his first cap against the All Blacks, and he has since made the fullback position his own. Wright’s 2025 season was electric — crossing the try line 10 times for the Brumbies and playing every minute of the three-test series against the British & Irish Lions, scoring some absolute worldy tries along the way.

Heading into the 2026 season, Wright is coming back from a knee injury and working hard to return to GIO Stadium. Once he does, he will be ready to dazzle Canberra fans with the signature footwork, sidesteps, and try-scoring flair that define his game.
