Max Jorgensen is a talented outside back from St Joseph’s College in Sydney.
He represented the Waratahs Academy at U15, U16 and U18 age levels. In the 2022 Junior Wallabies, he was then selected for the Waratahs Development team that year.
Jorgensen has impressed on all fronts since joining the senior Waratahs squad in 2023, including Wallabies selectors. He was named in 2023 World Cup squad, but injury ruled him out before the event. The Academy graduate made his Test debut in the 2024 Rugby Championship against South Africa, before later that year scoring the match-winning try in a 42-37 win over England in Wallabies 2024 Spring tour.
In 2025, Jorgensen made a lightning quick start to the Super Rugby Pacific season, before he suffered an ankle injury that ruled him out for the rest of the Waratahs' campaign.
He did return for the British & Irish Lions tour in July and scored a pivotal try in the third Test victory in Sydney.
Jorgensen is the son of former Wallaby and NRL player Peter Jorgensen.
