Maurice Longbottom is part of the new generation of Australian Sevens players and had a notable rise within the Australian Sevens program.
Originally an elite Junior with Souths in Rugby League, Longbottom first took up sevens with the Lloyd McDermott Rugby Development Team at the Ella Sevens tournament. Having been spotted by Australian selectors, Longbottom was catapulted into the Australian Sevens program and has never looked back from his debut tournament in the green and gold.
Boasting an impressive 245 points under his belt in just 15 World Series caps, Longbottom is a dynamic asset to the Australian team as they prepare for the upcoming HSBC Sevens World Series and Olympic campaign.
