Marcel Brache

Born in Los Angeles and raised in Cape Town, Marcel Brache picked up a rugby ball at the age of four and quickly grew into the sport. Playing age-grade rugby in South Africa and moving on to represent the University of Cape Town Ikeys in the Varsity Cup -- with none other than Eagle JJ Gagiano -- Brache made a significant impression on the Western Province. Making appearances in his professional career with the Western Province in the Varsity and Currie Cups, Brache also joined the Stormers of Super Rugby before stepping onto the USA Rugby stage.

In 2016, Brache earned his first cap with the Men's Eagles against Tonga during the November test series. From there, he made consistent appearances in 2017, joining the squad for the Emirates Airline Summer Series and helping them qualify for the 2019 Rugby World Cup in a two-match qualifying series against rival-Canada.
