Debuting in 2020, Joey Walton has established himself as a regular starting player in the centres for NSW Waratahs ever since. His consistent form earned invitations to Wallaby training camps and selection for the Australia A trips in both 2024 (England) and 2025 (Japan).
A graduate of Wadalba High School, Walton’s rugby career ranges from Australian U18 and U20 representation, experience with Shute Shield club Gordon, as well as a short stint in the National Provincial Championship in New Zealand for the Bay of Plenty.
Walton captained the Waratahs for the first time in 2025 in Round 7 against the Hurricanes.
