Filipo Daugunu finds himself back in the Wallabies squad after emerging as a star of the future early in his career.

The Fijian born winger made the switch to Queensland at the age of 20 to pursue a professional sporting career.

He would be picked by the Reds and thrived under coach Brad Thorn, selected in Dave Rennie's debut Test as Wallabies coach in 2022.

Daugunu delivered instantly, scoring in the draw against the All Blacks and would feature regularly under Rennie before falling down the depth chart.

However, a Rebels revival and a move to the centres brought the best out of Daugunu to earn the recall under Joe Schmidt.

He made only a small cameo for the Wallabies in the British & Irish Lions series in 2025 but his impact for the Queensland Reds continues to grow, starting 11 of their 12 matches last season, scoring seven tries in the process.
