Beat the Footy

Group participants in circles of six or more.

Participants pass the ball in a clockwise direction around the circle. On the Coach’s signal, one participant attempts to race the ball around the outside of the circle and back to their starting position.

The game concludes once all participants have had the opportunity to be the ‘Chaser’.

• 1 x ball per circle

Participants learn that the ball travels quicker than the player whilst working as a team in this fast paced skill game.

• Add a second ball to see if participants can work together to overtake the ‘Chaser’.
• On the signal, "swap", participants change directions.

• Where do our hands need to finish when we pass the ball?
• What shape do our hands need to make when catching the ball?
• Does the ball or player move faster around the circle?
