Western Force star Zac Lomax will get his first taste of international action after being called up to the Australia A squad for a trip to the USA to face the national side.
The cross-code star is joined by Harry McLaughlin-Phillips, who replaces the injured Tom Lynagh, ruled out after another injury setback.
Lomax, who moved to Rugby Union midway through the Super Rugby Pacific season, will get his chance to push for a Spring Tour call-up.
The former NSW and Australian league representative featured seven times for the Force in 2026, scoring on his starting debut against the Crusaders.
He returned from a groin injury during Super Rugby AUS, where the winger was trialled at midfield.
Lomax was in and out of the Force's squad, with his partner recently giving birth.
Meanwhile, Wallabies squad member McLaughlin-Phillips will travel to Nashville with the squad in place of his former Reds teammate.
It continues Lynagh's luckless run with injury after a disrupted 2026 season, missing almost the entire Super Rugby season.
Lynagh returned during the AUS competition, with the Reds missing the finals.
The injury gives McLaughlin-Phillips a chance to build on his Wallabies claim after his maiden call-up to the Test squad last month.
The new Force recruit guided the team to the Super Rugby AUS title and has been in camp with the Test side throughout the Bledisloe Cup.
Australia A will play two tour matches against the USA Eagles in Nashville (October 24) and New Jersey (October 30).
ACT Brumbies coach Stephen Larkham will oversee the team along with former Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt and Force boss Simon Cron.
