The Queensland Reds will battle old rivals NSW Waratahs in Narrabri to round out the second round of Super Rugby AUS.

The Reds are riding high after an emphatic win over the ACT Brumbies to kick start the new-look competition.

They are boosted further by the return of Wallabies duo Matt Faessler and Josh Flook via the bench.

As for the Waratahs, they are hurting after an opening round defeat to the Western Force at home.

Local products Joey Fowler and Sid Harvey start, with Lawson Creighton to skipper the side at inside centre.
