Rugby Australia CEO Phil Waugh has confirmed John Williamson's return as part of the Wallabies' pre-game entertainment ahead of the 2027 Test season.
The legendary singer will perform 'Waltzing Matilda' at the side's Sydney Test against Argentina on July 10.

The campaign was spearheaded by Wallabies skipper Harry Wilson, Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii and Max Jorgensen during their appearance on the Hello Sport podcast, bringing back the much-loved tradition from the early 2000s.
Williamson was a fixture of Wallabies games during the era, with the famous Australian song bellowing around the crowd before kick-off.
RA CEO Waugh, who played during Williamson's pre-game anthem era, gave the green light for the return against Argentina on 2GB on Friday.
"I was one of those players who was inspired by John, so I guess in the role I'm in now I look forward to hearing from John singing Waltzing Matilda in front of a full Allianz Stadium on the 10th of July," he said on Ben Fordham Live.
"It's special for the younger players who are now playing, who experienced it in the crowd. Being out there on the field and hearing 80,000 people sing Waltzing Matilda with John leading it was inspirational, so we're looking forward to bringing it back.
"The people have spoken and we're certainly listening to them and look forward to welcoming John back...I think everyone would love to hear John back. One of the most memorable parts of watching Australian rugby was listening to Waltzing Matilda led by John so I look forward to welcoming him back."
Williamson was overjoyed at the chance to belt out the iconic tune again.
"Against Argentina, that'll be wonderful," he said on Waugh's announcement.
"It's good though to hear Aussies singing; it's not one of our traditions, then I'd love to see it happen even without me. It just needs someone to start it.
"...I was delighted to hear [the call-out] because I've always been available...I think it was discouraged by the international board at one stage; they made me go back into the crowd and not be out on the ground. They thought it was unfair.
"It was always a great way of firing up the crowd and I'm guessing that the players enjoyed that feeling too.
Williamson offered his services at the start of the week after the call-out from the Wallabies trio, with skipper Harry Wilson stating "Willo, we need you mate," as Jorgensen and Suaalii also pushed for the return.
"Thanks for the call-up. I’ve always been available to sing Waltzing Matilda; I just haven’t been asked," he remarked via social media.
“It kills me that we have no comeback to the haka, so the answer is yes."
Whilst the response to the haka will have to wait, the return of Williamson brings back another tradition to the game in a massive year for the sport in Australia.
