Wallabies coach Les Kiss has turned to size in the quest to tame England's pack on Monday at Twickenham.

Josh Canham and Lukhan Salakaia-Loto will start together at Test level for the first time, shifting Jeremy Williams to blindside flanker.

Both stand close to two metres tall and have partnered several times for the Queensland Reds , matching the size of an English pack that welcomes back Maro Itoje into the second row.

As a result, two-time John Eales Medalist Rob Valetini shifts into a finishing role, providing the Wallabies with a monster replacement group that includes returning duo Taniela Tupou and Isaac Kailea.

"I wanted to see how we look with two big locks in the make up of our squad and see how they go," Kiss said.

"These last four games are the last opportunity we've got to explore some of those things in a proper way, which opened up how we could look at our options? 'Jez' has played a lot of six for Force and we know his lineout nous is good and he's got a good engine.

"We know that he'll finish off the game for us, he can move up to lock later in the game and and move 'Bobby' into a situation where his power and strength can come into play later in the game."

Canham has been one of the form locks in 2026, with Kiss believing the best is still to come from the Victorian-bred lock.

"Every game he plays since he's come back from injury, even before, he was just growing at a rate of knots, and I just think his upside is, well, I don't think we've really scratched the surface with him really," he said.

"I think there's so much more upside in him and there's a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. He's got single-digit test matches, but having someone like Lukhan with a lot of test matches there, Jez now is in the 30s; there's some experience around him with Alaalatoa as well.

"Despite all that experience around him,he plays like an experienced player. I've really been impressed with how he's gone about hisbusiness so really happy that he's fully fitting and he's a good 80-minute player as well, which we know is important in test match rugby too

Kiss has also recalled Angus Bell and Billy Pollard into the starting side, with Brandon Paenga-Amosa still out with injury.

In the backs, Len Ikitau starts alongside Isaac Henry in the midfield, while Declan Meredith retains his spot at flyhalf.

Carter Gordon firmed for a return after his broken leg, but Kiss is eager to give him another week, positioning him, along with Tom Hooper (shoulder) to feature against Scotland next weekend.

"He was that close it wasn't funny. We've got three other games, haven't we, so we just thought, let's move in that direction," Kiss said on Gordon.

"Declan Meredith, I thought, handled it very well against the All Blacks in some trying circumstances in that game at times, but I thought he played well in that game and showed his wares, so I've kept them at ten."
