The Western Force have confirmed the re-signing of two-cap Wallaby Hamish Stewart until the end of the 2027 season.

Stewart has blossomed in the west since moving from the Reds in 2023, playing 40 games for the club.

The 27-year-old enjoyed a breakout 2024 season, which led to his Wallabies debut away to Argentina in August last year.

Stewart backed this up with a strong 2025 campaign, featuring in 12 matches while finishing in the top ten for the Nathan Sharpe Medal.

The Toowoomba-born product was eager to stay in Western Australia as he pushes for a return to the gold jersey.

“I’m really happy to be staying in the west with the Force and am excited about what we’re building,” Stewart said.

“I’ve really enjoyed my three years with the Club, working with Crono and the coaches, along with a really tight knit playing group including some really close mates.”

Stewart's re-signing adds to a Force squad growing in international experience, with the club recently announcing the signing of former All Blacks George Bridge.

“Hamish is a core member of our squad and he helps drive the standards, expectations and culture in our group," Cron said.

“You can see that from how hard Hammer plays. Each week he leads by doing.

“He’s a big part of our team and our squad and our planning moving forward.”
