Rugby Australia has confirmed the 2023 Super W Grand Final will be hosted at Townsville's Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
The game will be played as part of a doubleheader on May 6 with the Queensland Reds set to face the NSW Waratahs.

It will be the first time the game will be hosted in Queensland after the 2022 edition was played at AAMI Park in Melbourne as part of Super Round.
“Rugby Australia is delighted to be taking the Buildcorp Super W Final to Townsville,” said Rugby Australia CEO Andy Marinos.
“It is an opportunity to take the pinnacle match of women’s club Rugby in Australia to a regional centre, and broaden the reach of the sport.
“Queensland Rugby Union has shown tremendous foresight in expanding Rugby’s reach across the state, and I am sure that this double-header will only continue that trend.
“What a fantastic event for the people of Townsville – the Buildcorp Super W Final, plus the oldest football rivalry in Australia with the Reds hosting the Waratahs on the same night.”
It will feature as part of two Super Rugby games in the region, with the Reds set to kick-off their season against the Hurricanes on February 25.
Queensland Reds CEO Dave Hanham was excited at the prospect of the team playing a final in front of a home crowd, having missed April's Final for the first time as Fijiana Drua claimed the title in their first year.
“We’re excited to be hosting the Buildcorp Super W Final in Townsville, as part of a double header with our Reds Super Rugby Pacific clash with the Waratahs at Queensland Country Bank Stadium,” said Hanham.
“Plenty of talented women’s players have emerged from North Queensland, including vintage Red and Classic Wallaroo Vanessa Bradley – and more recently Bri Rossato, who was part of the first Queensland Reds Super W squad in 2018.
“2022 will be the first year the Reds have taken two Super Rugby Pacific matches to North Queensland, and to provide the chance for Rugby fans in Townsville and the surrounding areas the chance to see the best talent in Super W go head-to-head as well, it is a great win for the Rugby community in North Queensland.
“We have high hopes for our Reds women in 2023, and we hope that they will be there at the business end of the season playing in the tournament decider in front of a home crowd in Townsville.”
