Scotland host the Wallaroos in Round 3 of the 2026 WXV Global Series.

Wallaroos flyer Maya Stewart has been cleared to return from injury ahead of their two home Tests against Scotland.

Stewart's return from an Achilles niggle is the main change as the Aussies prepare for matches in Sydney (October 17) and Canberra (October 24).

The Waratahs all-time try-scorer missed the WXV Global Series tour of Europe, where the Australians began the three-Test series against Scotland with a win.

Stewart replaces Piper Flynn, an unused sub in the loss to France in Aix-en-Provence.

Tia Hinds will miss the series as she receives a well-deserved break following a hectic season that included the SVNS World Championship title.

Hera-Barb Malcolm Heke (knee) remains out after picking up the injury during the series, which began with a defeat to world champions England.

Prop Eva Karpani is on track to bring up 50 caps during the final match in the nation's capital, currently on 48 Tests.

It would make Karpani the second Wallaroo to reach the mark after Michaela Leonard brought up the honour in Edinburgh.

“We’re looking forward to hosting Scotland on home soil and in front of our fans in gold next week as part of a quadruple header in Sydney," Director of Women's High Performance Tim Walsh said.

“During our recent tour of Europe we had some success in aspects of our game but lacked the consistency for a performance to be really proud of.

“Having played and beaten Scotland recently, our understanding of each other has grown. We will need to be far better than we were in Edinburgh to achieve the outcome we desire.

“Maya Stewart returns for us and brings plenty of experience out wide.”

Meanwhile, Wallaroos legend Shannon Parry will join the coaching staff as an assistant as the group assembles in Sydney at the end of the week.

The Australia A Sevens coach took charge of the U19 NextGen side whilst also stepping up as assistant coach of the Queensland Reds.
