Big names, big hits and big nostalgia are heading to HBF Park.

With 100 days to go, HSBC SVNS Perth has revealed its 2027 headliners: British pop icon Sophie Ellis-Bextor, in an Australian exclusive performance on Saturday 6 February 2027, and homegrown dance-pop favourites Sneaky Sound System closing out Sunday 7 February 2027.

Under the 2027 theme Go Tropical, HSBC SVNS Perth will turn HBF Park into a two-day summer festival.

The world's best men's and women's sevens teams take the field, surrounded by live music, a variety of food, dessert and drink vendors, roaming performers, tropical bars, shady hideaways and some of the best-dressed crowds in world sport, from the first whistle to the last song.

Think loud shirts, flower leis, big singalongs and the fastest rugby on the planet. It's the summer weekend Perth plans around, and there's never been a better reason to round up the crew.

Big names. Big hits. Big nostalgia.

Saturday 6 February: Sophie Ellis-Bextor (Australian exclusive)

Sophie Ellis-Bextor brings her glittering disco-pop show to Perth for an Australian exclusive performance, and yes, she'll be playing Murder on the Dancefloor. The 2001 global smash topped charts around the world, then found a whole new generation when it went viral again in 2024, returning to the charts more than two decades after its release. Expect sequins, a dancefloor that stretches into the grandstand and one of the biggest singalongs Perth has ever seen.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor said: “I can't wait to get back to Perth and sing and dance with all of my friends in WA!”

Sunday 7 February: Sneaky Sound System

Australia's own Sneaky Sound System closes out the weekend with a set built for singalongs. The ARIA Award-winning duo behind UFO, I Love It and Pictures soundtracked a generation of Aussie summers, and they're bringing the party back to Perth.

Sneaky Sound System said: "We can't wait to get back to Perth and party with you all at HSBC SVNS next year. Perth knows how to throw a good party, and we're ready to let loose with you."

Both headliners will perform within the Party Stand, creating a unique “boiler room” vibe and bringing the fans closer. They will be supported by a line up of Perth DJs and local talent (to be announced), across the precinct.

Every corner of HBF Park gets the Go Tropical treatment in 2027, with new zones, more shade and more to do between matches.

  • Party Stand: Reimagined for 2027 with a Boiler Room-inspired stage built right into the crowd. Artists perform among the fans rather than above them, making everyone part of the show.
  • Castaway Club: A laid-back, DJ-led beach party zone with thatched roofs, timber textures and tropical signage. Expect local talent including DJs, classic singalongs, sun-soaked house tunes, deckchairs, bean bags and more shade cabanas than ever. It’s the social hub of the precinct, made for kicking back with your crew.
  • Palm Paradise: A shady food and drink oasis under the trees, dotted with oversized timber palms made for photos. The Palm Paradise Stage serves up acoustic sets and laid-back live music all day, with a roaming busker sending fans home on a high.
  • Roving talent: A cast of larger-than-life characters bringing colour and chaos to every corner, from brass bands, mariachis and Brazilian drummers to Pacific Island dancers, stiltwalkers, acrobats, circus performers and roller-skating bubble-blasters. Face painters keep the little ones busy.
  • On the field: Players make a tropical entrance through an LED-lit, greenery-covered archway, complete with water mist and coloured pyrotechnics. Between matches, Dance Cam, Flex Cam and crowd singalongs put fans on the big screen.
Eat your way around the world

With teams flying in from across the globe, the food line-up follows suit: A wide range of Perth's favourite food trucks and dessert carts, with more fresh and healthy options than ever.

  • Global street food: hand-made Uyghur specialties from the Uyghur Food Truck, Chilean street food from Con Pebre, Spanish and Canary Islands cooking from Canarian Cuisine, Moroccan from Shak Shuka, Latin American empanadas from El Sabor Latino, Italian from Pasta e Fagioli and bratwurst from JD's German Bratwurst.
  • Asian favourites: steamed buns from Steam Bun Factory, bao and banh mi from The Dirty Swine, and Hong Kong-style gourmet toasties from Toastmate Perth.
  • Smoke and fire: Aussie-American BBQ brisket from Sticky Addiction.
  • Sweet treats: churros and coffee from San Churro Van, gourmet desserts and gelato from Sweet Purpose Perth, giant macaron gelato sliders from The Sweet Box Cart, sweet and savoury French crepes from Who Gives A Crepe, and self-serve frozen yoghurt from Swirl Co Perth.
  • Cool down: bubble tea and acai bowls from Tea-Riffic, and freshly squeezed juice from Juice Station.
