FULL TIME: Bond University are 2025 StoreLocal Hospital Cup champions after claiming a 27-25 thriller over two-time reigning champions Brothers.
The Brethren were just five minutes from a Queensland Premier Grade three-peat before replacement back Hamish Roberts latched onto a Dion Samuela chip kick and dived over in the top right corner.
A final raid on the Bull Sharks' line looked to see Brothers' steal it back late but Bond weren't to be denied, holding out for a famous two-point victory - their first ever Hospital Cup.
Both sides were stacked with Test talent - Josh Canham, Aidan Ross and Josh Flook all featured - but Bond were inspired by a monster pack effort and talismanic skipper Tyler Campbell to shake off three yellow cards and get the win.
Brothers flyer Will Cartwright (three tries) and fetcher Michael Wood also starred but errant goalkicking ultimately cost the Brethren dearly in their quest for three.
