Australian duo Maddison Levi and Bella Nasser have been recognised for their big seasons by being selected for the SVNS Dream Team for 2024-25.

Levi established herself as one of the best players to ever play the game, becoming the first female player to be top try-scorer in three consecutive seasons and the first also to score more than 50 tries in three straight seasons.

In total, Levi scored 54 tries to take out the top try-scorer award, scoring over a third of Australia’s tries across the whole season in 2024/25.

She is joined in the Dream Team by captain Nasser after an impressive debut season as skipper.

Nasser captained the team to title wins in Dubai and Perth as they finished runners-up.

New Zealand superstar Jorja Miller pipped Levi for the Women's Player of the Year award. Kiwi teammates Risi Pouri-Lane and Michaela Brake were also named in the Dream Team alongside Japan's Marin Kajiki and Brazil's Thaila Costa.

USA powerhouse Nia Toilver was named Women's Rookie of the Year over Kahli Henwood, whilst Enahemo Artaud bested Aden Ekanayake for Men's Rookie of the Year.

Argentina's Luciano Gonzalez took out Player of the Year for the Men, named Player of the Final in three of his last nine HSBC SVNS tournaments.

“Tonight, we honour the stars who have shone brightly throughout a thrilling, brilliant HSBC SVNS season that has seen new teams emerge as contenders, new stars wow fans and moments of magic that will live long in the memory," World Rugby Chief Executive Alan Gilpin said.

“Congratulations to the winners. With outstanding athleticism, sublime skill and scintillating speed, all our nominees and winners continue to demonstrate why Sevens is a hit at the Olympics.

“The bond between our Sevens stars and fans is special and therefore it is fitting that these awards could take place in front of them in the venue that will host Rugby Sevens at the LA 2028 Olympic Games.”
