Australia Women’s Sevens trio Tia Hinds, Kiiahla Duff and Rhani Hagan have signed new contracts through to the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.
Hinds will eye a third Olympics campaign after agreeing to a new two-year extension while Duff and Hagan are chasing a maiden appearance on the world stage.
Hinds is one of the star playmakers in Rugby Sevens after making her debut as a teenager in 2021 and is nearing 500 points on the circuit.
The 23-year-old is coming off a strong 2025-2026 HSBC SVNS season before transitioning to XVs, where she continues her game in the longer format with both NSW Waratahs and the Wallaroos.
Duff, the first cousin of Sevens teammate Faith Nathan, hails from the Northern Beaches and made her international debut for the Australia Sevens in 2025.
Her performances in the Next Gen 7s series helped elevate her into the national squad, where she played seven tournaments in her debut season, scoring three tries including one with her first touch.
Hagan joined the Australia Sevens program fulltime in Sydney in January after starring for Queensland through the junior pathways system.
Director of Women’s High Performance Tim Walsh said: “The ball-playing trio of Tia, Kiiahla and Rhani all have bright futures ahead of them in the Australian program.
“Tia was the glue and dominating game driver last season and already has two Olympic campaigns under her belt at just 23.
“Kiiahla has been patient but never missed an opportunity to take her shot and is developing well and this season will provide plenty of opportunity.
“Rhani, the youngest of the trio, joined us at the start of the year in a full-time space and is destined for a debut this coming season.”
Hinds has turned her immediate focus to the XVs format with the Wallaroos for the remainder of the international season while Duff and Hagan will return to pre-season training in October.
