Wallaroo star Kaitlan Leaney is set to return to the NSW Waratahs for the upcoming 2024 Super Rugby W (SRW) season.

Leaney returns from a stint with the Harlequins in the UK where she played with her soon-to-be teammates, Emily Chancellor, and Arabella McKenzie.

After impressive performances in the Pacific Four and WXV1 Series for the Wallaroos, Leaney headed back to England for the UK Premierships in 2023-24 and will return to Sydney later this month to begin her preparations for the SWR 2024 season.

Head Coach Mick Ruthven is pleased to see Leaney back in blue and believes she will bring a great range of skills and experience to the squad.

“Kaitlan will be a vastly experienced player within our group," Ruthven said.

"She will bring her knowledge and experience from two previous seasons in the UK Premiership with the Harlequins and I’m sure she will provide a positive impact on our playing group.

"She is a dynamic player with a strong skill-set and we are pleased to see her back in a Tahs jersey."
