“I would like to thank my teammates for all the hard work and dedication they’ve put in – this award isn’t just for me, it’s for them as well,” said Wong in a statement.

“I’d also like to thank my coaches for putting their trust in me on the field and giving me these opportunities.

“I’m aiming to take my game to another level in the 2023 season and play my best footy for my Reds family.”

Wong had a breakthrough 2022 season, headlined by a hat-trick against the Rebels at Suncorp Stadium.

She would go on to make her Wallaroos debut against Fijiana, scoring against the Black Ferns in the World Cup opener.

Reds coach Simon Craig paid credit to the winger as they look to return to the finals in 2023.

“Ivania has been a massive part of the Reds Super W program since its inception,” said Craig.

“Last year we saw her make her Wallaroos debut and go on to represent her country at the Rugby World Cup.

“We couldn't be prouder of Ivania - this award is great recognition for her continued development over many years.

"We look forward to seeing what she can achieve in both her Reds and Wallaroos jerseys in 2023."
