Former Rebels and Wallabies prop Pone Fa'amausili has signed a one year deal with Moana Pasifika for the 2025 Super Rugby Pacific season.

Fa'amausili found himself limited for game-time in 2024 following the arrival of Taniela Tupou and Sam Talakai.

Tickets to the 2024 Bledisloe Cup Test match are available here.

It saw the prop make a sudden loan move to the NSW Waratahs in round 12 before returning the following week for his lone game of the year for the Rebels.

Fa'amausili has played seven tests for Australia, including two games at the 2023 Rugby World Cup against Wales and Fiji.

The 27-year-old is of Samoan descent and was excited to be representing his culture with the Auckland-based side.

“I’m extremely excited at the opportunity ahead with Moana Pasifika, to be able to share my knowledge and experiences and also learn from a talented group of men," he said in a statement.

"Being able to learn from a coach like Tana is really exciting for myself.

“Joining a team like Moana allows me to connect with my culture and represent my people which is really important and will be special to do so for my family.”

Fa'amausili fills the void left by fellow Australian Test prop Sekope Kepu after his retirement at the end of the Super season.

His signing continues a monster off-season for Moana Pasifika that saw All Blacks superstar Ardie Savea join the club.

"Pone is a powerful player who brings physicality and experience," head coach Tana Umaga said.

"He further strengthens our pack and we’re excited to have him on our side in 2025.”
