Will Cartwright scores an incredible try to seal Brothers' victory over Randwick in the Australian Club Championship 2024

Tropical Cyclone Alfred has prompted a scheduling shift for this year's Australian Club Championship with the nation's top sides now set to clash on Saturday March 15.

Queensland and New South Wales' reigning club champions will lock horns at Brisbane's Crosby Park next weekend with the Sukkar Cup (women) and Bernard Power Challenge Trophy (men) up for grabs.

Queensland Premier Women's powerhouse Bond University and Jack Scott Cup winners Sydney University kick off the major fixtures at 2pm for the Sukkar Cup before Brothers battle it out Eastern Suburbs from 3:45pm.

The Brethren are reigning Bernard Power Challenge Trophy holders following their dramatic 25-18 win over Randwick last year - courtesy of a Will Cartwright 71st-minute try - while Bond Uni will look to defend their Sukkar Cup title.

The Bull Sharks defeated Gordon back in the 2023 inaugural women's showpiece and head into this year's finale as favourites, with the bulk of Sydney University's starting side currently playing Super Rugby Women's.

It's not all about the city slickers though with Roma, Sunshine Coast, Moranbah and Narrabri also set to feature.

Following a pair of earlier Brisbane grade trials, Crosby Park will play host to the Bros & Bears Clash (Brothers vs Toowoomba Bears) and the Country v Coast Clash (Roma Echidnas v Brothers Sunshine Coast).

Entry to Crosby Park is free all day - bar closes at 11pm.

11:35 AM The Bros & Bears Clash (Brothers Fifth Grade v Toowoomba Bears)

12:55 PM The Country to Coast Clash - Roma Echidnas v Brothers Sunshine Coast
