The Brumbies' upcoming match against the British and Irish Lions is set to take on a new meaning - with the club confirming this morning that fly half Jack Debreczeni and wing Ben O’Donnell will depart the club following next Wednesday's match.
Both players have been at the Canberra club since 2022 - arriving on the same day - and have gone on to enjoy critical roles, getting the side to four consecutive Super Rugby Pacific semi finals.

Debreczeni has picked up 28 caps over his tenure, serving as an experienced head in the playmaker role, often turned to close out matches and assist the development of current Wallaby flyhalf Noah Lolesio.
The flyhalf is currently considering his future options to continue his playing career already boasting 54 caps for the Melbourne Rebels, stints with the Honda Heat and Hino Red Dolphins in Japan, and seven appearances for the Chiefs.
Ben O'Donnell received nine caps during his time in Canberra, the star winger being impacted by several stints on the sidelines due to injury while with the Brumbies, having missed the 2025 campaign due to a hamstring operation.
Having enjoyed successful stints at Connacht and the Australia Sevens before the Brumbies, O'Donnell will join French side Aurillac on a two-year deal.
Should the pair be selected for Stephen Larkham's side, they will receive a farewell in front of a packed GIO Stadium in Canberra.
“Everyone at the Brumbies wishes Ben and Jack the best for the future,” Larkham said.
“They’ve both made a massive contribution to the club on and off the field during their time here.
"I’m sure they’ll be looking forward to the chance of playing in front of our fans at GIO Stadium one last time next week, against a world-class team in the British & Irish Lions.”
