Versatile back Lawson Creighton will leave the NSW Waratahs to sign for the Ospreys in Wales.

Creighton, 27, who can play at either fly-half, centre or full-back, made 23 appearances for the Waratahs during two seasons at the club, scoring 60 points.

Head coach Dan McKellar thanked Creighton for his efforts in a Waratahs jersey since his arrival in Sydney in late 2024.

“I would like to thank Lawson for his contribution to the Waratahs during his time here,” McKellar said.

“He has been a key part of our squad for the past two seasons, filling various positions in the backline. On behalf of everyone at the club, we wish him the best for his new challenge in Wales with the Ospreys.”

Creighton started at full-back for the Waratahs against the British & Irish Lions at Allianz Stadium in July last year, before playing a prominent role in our Super Rugby AUS title win. He captained our side to victory in the inaugural competition, starting at inside centre in the 33 26 win in the Grand Final in Perth.

Creighton reached 50 Super Rugby caps during our Super Round match against the Crusaders in Christchurch. He leaves the competition on 54 caps (32 Reds, 22 Waratahs).
