The Wallaroos’ World Cup dream has ended at the hands of a world-class Canada outfit, 46-5 in Bristol.
The Australians were on the back foot throughout the first half as the classy Canadians proved why they are considered one of the teams to beat at the World Cup.

Winger Alysha Corrigan started the dominance for the Canadians as she touched down for one of two tries of the first half.
Lock Sophie de Goede was unstoppable as she crossed for a deserved five-pointer.
The Australians were gutsy in defence and did everything to hold them off, stopping several chances late in the first half.
But prop McKinley Hunt capped off their red-hot period with a late try to send them into the break up 31-5.
Australia fought valiantly in the second half to reduce the margin as the heavens opened up in Bristol.
But ultimately it was Canada’s day, with number eight Fabiola Forteza diving over early in the second half to seal the win.
A late try wrapped up the victory for Canada as Karen Paquin crossed for an excellent solo try,
They’ll go on to face New Zealand in the semi-finals after a tough quarter-final win over South Africa.
The defending champions were in serious trouble at half-time as a late try levelled the scores at 10-all, before blowing away the tournament’s breakout stars 46-17.
