The 2024 Buildcorp Super Rugby Women's season was officially launched in Brisbane this evening as players representing the six competing teams came together at Ballymore Stadium.
With the opening round of fixtures kicking off on Friday 15 March, the players shared their hopes and expectations for the season ahead before participating in a fiery photoshoot on the Ballymore field.
The launch coincided with the announcement that Buildcorp has recommitted to Australian Rugby and will continue as naming rights partner for the Super Rugby Women's competition - a position they have held since the inaugural Super W season in 2018.
The teams were represented at the launch by Cecilia Smith (QLD Reds), Piper Duck (NSW Waratahs), Siokapesi Palu (ACT Brumbies), Trilleen Pomare (Western Force), Melanie Kawa (Melbourne Rebels) and Asinate Serevi (Fijian Drua).
