Australia Women's Sevens skipper Bella Nasser believes Friday's sweep of New Zealand will set them up perfectly for the year ahead.
It comes as Men's debutant Bailey Roberts-Lintmeijer soaks in his first appearance after a breakout day at Easts Rugby in their split games with Fiji.
The Women claimed two wins over the Black Ferns, with Maddison Levi's five tries in two games making the difference.
Reg Tayler's side dug deep for a 24-19 win in the opener after several nervous moments, before Levi's first half-trick blew the result out to a 36-26 win.
It wraps up the three-match series ahead of Saturday's showcase game at Accor Stadium, played as part of a quad header.
“It was really good, two from two is pretty cool,” Nasser said.
“We were able to roll some new combinations. Rhani Hagan and ‘Emmi’ [Emmisyn Wynyard] pulled on the gold jersey, which was really cool. To be able to build our depth like that in an area like this with a home crowd was pretty exciting."
“New Zealand are always going to put up a fight. We've known that for years and it'll continue for years to come.
“To be able to put our body on the line, to step up for each other and have each other's backs, particularly in defence on our line, it gives us confidence leading into [Saturday] and then obviously Dubai in a couple of months.”
For the Men, the story was Randwick product Roberts-Lintmeijer, who inspired Australia to a 24-14 win in the second game after losing the first 10-0.
The First Nations star scored a classy double, including a freakish chip and chase to score in the corner.
“I didn't expect it. I can't really explain how I'm feeling. I'm so excited, really happy," he told Rugby.com.au post match.
“My first Sevens game with the men's side, and to be able to get two tries was awesome.
“I wasn’t thinking much [for the second try], I just did it. I knew I could beat them to the ball.”
Maurice Longbottom also crossed for a double, with Roberts-Lintmeijer praising the veteran for his guidance.
“He's really helped me to stay confident within this [group]. He’s been my mentor and really helped me," he added.
The Men's mini series will be decided on Saturday, with the teams playing in-between the Wallaroos and Wallabies Tests.
