Brumbies backrow Tom Cusack says the side have reaped the rewards from their trip into the heartland, Jindabyne serving as the perfect place for the Super Rugby AU champions to come together ahead of the new season.

Cusack has noticed a renewed energy in the Brumbies group, the club's Wallabies brigade rejoining the squad, including front-row trio Allan Alaalatoa, Scott Sio and Folau Fainga'a.

Though the Brumbies got through plenty of work on the training pitch at the home of the Jindabyne Bushpigs, the side made sure to connect with the community, an open session giving the locals the chance to get up close and personal with the team.
