Rugby's players' boss Ross Xenos is moving to club land, joining the Rebels as general manager - commercial and marketing.

Xenos, who has been Rugby Union Players' Association (RUPA) CEO since 2015, will start with the club in August,

The Rebels have been slowly restructuring their corporate areas since Baden Stephenson took on the CEO role last year, and Xenos's appointment the latest.

Xenos had worked across a number of roles in RUPA, before succeeding Greg Harris as CEO, becoming just the fourth head of the organisation.

It is unclear who will take over from Xenos at RUPA, though that process will begin in the coming weeks.

“Ross is highly respected, professional and comes with a very strong network," Stephenson said.

"We look forward to Ross driving our commercial pillars which includes many exciting strategies in the local community, regional, interstate and overseas.”
