The Brumbies have named Wallaby Scott Sio for their clash against the Rebels, with the side looking to muscle up against the likes of Mafi and Coleman.

Scott Sio will make his first start of 2018 on Friday, named in the Brumbies starting XV that will take on the Rebels.

Sio missed ACT's first two starts through a calf injury but has overcome the niggle, named in a new look forward pack for coach Dan McKellar.

The Brumbies were mauled up front by the Reds in their loss at Suncorp Stadium and McKellar has responded by bringing in Sio and Lolo Fakaosilea at openside flanker, with Tom Cusack relegated to the bench.

Richie Arnold has also been recalled to the 23 in place of Blake Enever.
