RUGBY.com.au has teamed up with Onion Production to create Hold Back The River, a look behind the scenes of the Aussie Sevens women's team.

The five-part series looks at the journey of the team beyond the 2016 Rio Olympics, as they look to continue their dominance.

Episode one premieres on FOX SPORTS 3 503 on Sunday January 21, at 9pm AEDT, with an episode airing every night in the lead-up to the 2018 Sydney 7s.

Full replays will be available the morning after each episode on RUGBY.com.au

Here's a sneak peek at the first episode.
