Suntoy Sungoliath have taken to Twitter to announce the signing of star Wallabies No. 8 Sean McMahon.

It has long been known that the Scotland Test would be McMahon's last in Wallaby gold until at least the 2019 Rugby World Cup but his club of choice was not publicly known, until now.

Suntory, who currently have fellow Aussies George Smith, Matt Giteau and Campbell Magnay among their ranks, announced the signing on Friday.

McMahon has wavered as to whether he will be part of Australia's 2019 Rugby World Cup campaign, after initially ruling it out.

He is contracted in Japan until the end of 2019.
