Chance Peni won't have the chance to line up for the barbarians on Saturday, suspended for four weeks.

Peni was handed a four-week ban after being found guilty of a dangerous tackle, committed in Perth Spirit's 44-31 loss to the Sydney Rays in Perth.

The 23-year-old was named in Alan Jones' original Barbarians squad earlier this month, likely to take on the Wallabies.

Peni will not be out of that match and will not play again through the NRC season.

The speedster was a standout for the Force this season, before stepping up for the Spirit, but it's not the first time he's had a run-in with the judiciary for a tackle gone wrong.

Peni missed the Force's final match of the Super Rugby season, suspended for three weeks over a high tackle in the side's match with the Rebels.

The Wallabies take on the Barbarians on Saturday October 28, kicking off at 3pm AEDT, LIVE on FOX SPORTS and Network Ten.
