The Brumbies and Rebels will usher in their new eras, kicking off the 2018 season with February 3 trial in Queanbeyan.

With the 2018 Super Rugby draw released a fortnight ago, teams are starting to put their dominoes in place for the preseason, with the ACT franchise first off the rank.

The clash will kick off at 6pm AEDT at Queanbeyan's Seiffort Oval, and will be the teams' first of the 2018 season, a week out from the Brisbane Tens.

Brumbies coach Dan McKellar said the fixture would be a good barometer for his team, in his first official game in charge.

"This will be the squads first game of the year and will provide a good litmus test of where we are at coming out of our pre-season," he said.

“The Rebels have recruited strongly and we are looking forward to a quality hit-out. We are looking forward to playing at Queanbeyan and engaging with our local supporters.”

The Brumbies take on the Rebels, kicking off on February 3 2018, 6pm AEDT.
