The Brumbies are taking a young squad to Singapore, using the June break to look at some new talent.

Brumbies U20s lock Darcy Swain, Tuggeranong duo Sione Taula and Andrew Robinson and Royals’ George Morseu are among those uncapped in the squad.

Scrumhalf Ryan Lonergan has been included in the touring squad, after injury curtailed the first part of his season, and will almost certainly play a key role with Joe Powell with the Wallabies and De Wet Roos back in Sydney.

Veteran prop Ben Alexander will not make the trip, staying at Canberra after a knee injury he suffered ahead of their final regular season game before the June break.

Dan McKellar, who will take the coaching reins permanently in 2018, will be the acting head coach on the trip.

Brumbies CEO Michael Thomson said the trip would be a chance to grow the Brumbies’ brand overseas.

“We are excited by the prospect of heading to Singapore during the June international test window,” he said.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for us to help spread the awareness of rugby in Singapore and to promote the Brumbies brand overseas.

“Whilst there we will be working with Singapore Rugby Union to help develop and grow the game in the region.

“Asia has a fast-growing developing rugby fan-base and the chance to help promote the game globally through the Brumbies brand is wonderful opportunity.

The Brumbies will spend four days in Singapore before taking on the Asia Pacific Dragons on Thursday June 22 at 9pm AEST.
